Located at the border between Gahoe-myeon and Daebyeong-myeon of Hapcheon, Hwangmaesan Mountain has long been considered a guardian mountain of Hapcheon, but was rarely ever featured in hiking or tourist publications. Thanks to this, the mountain's natural environment has been kept in pristine condition.
